Oil and gas exploration and production does provide significant benefits to local, state and national economies. Fossil fuel use is going to be with us for a long time. So take advantage of the home grown production to put people back to work.

Sounds like Odessa/Midland is on it's way to becoming the energy capital of Texas. With wind and solar being big players O/M may see sustained prosperity.

Funny how home grown energy promotes jobs and growth. Now if the current administration would only get a clue.

We need this oil. The U.S. government is cutting back production on public land whenever they can, so it's up to drillers on private land to take up the slack.

The same things is happening in North Dakota. Please are living in old trailers brought in by the oil company's or locals. Trailer in winter? Not good.

Good news for that region of Texas, but with every boom comes the follow-up bust, so the towns better be ready..
