I've seen this demonstrated on TV, but it still seems rather unlikely.

Drink more beer! ;)
After a night at the bar, and filing your car's tank instead of going to the bar's urinal, you might have enough to get home ;) if the police don't catch you.

Chemist, when you use the facilities in the back of a Greyhound, or on airplanes, the fuel tank is right there. lmao

It is obvious from some comments that some people just read the headlines and not the article. They quote "whiskey" for "whiskey waste", "urine for "urea". Aaah, those points, points, points....

Really??? I sure you could make fuel out of peanut butter but the point is to use less energy to make the fuel than the fuel itself actually produces. This is a major failing point with Ethanol.

Collecting human urine for use as an energy source would not work in most modern countries. I don't see many people going back to chamber pots and the expense to collect it would be prohibitive.

Can you imagine driving with a "motorman's helper" to fuel the car while in motion. No need to pull over for either need. Better pack lots of drinks.

Sneakers, it depends on the strength of beer your drunk buddies are using to pay their way.

Can you imagine if urine gives you 40mpg on big trucks, 50mpg on V8& V10, 65mpg on V6 and over 75mpg on 4cyl, 3cyl and so forth. It would absolutely cut our dependence on crude oil and cng.

It would be interesting how far a gallon of urine will propel a car.
